Took the Gordon River cruise which brings us along Gordon River, stops over at Sarah Island and a Heritage trail.
Hell’s gate. Narrow entry to Macquarie Harbour, named by convicts on their way to the "hell on earth" of Sarah Island.
Atlantic Salmon farms at Liberty Point. Aquaculture pens stocked with thousands of Atlantic Salmon and Ocean trout.
Lunch on board.
Stopped over at Sarah Island (Convict Island). A place where convicts were held.
The separate cells for extra punishment.
Bakery to provide bread for the officers and convicts.
The convict quarters.
Heritage trail next.
Ended up taking pictures of ourselves instead as we were getting quite bored. Hee
Went Strahan beach. Not that pretty.
Don’t underestimate these two cuties playing innocently on the beach. Their family owns the salmon farms we saw on the cruise!!
Watched a play “The ship that never was” about convicts on Sarah Island who escaped. A very entertaining and interactive play. Only these two are actors. The rest are actually from the audience. Don’t think it would be that successful if the audience werent that sporting.
After the play, we drove up to Ocean beach to see sunset. We bought takeaways too.
Dinner. Really hard to get Wan Ning to eat her food. Cos she cant stop clicking away! Tsk tsk. =P
Wan Ning attempted to kiss me but failed..
So she accused Eleanor and me of being lesbians. Andass……hor hor hor! =P
